Seaworthy: Boat Maintenance
Version 1.0, updated Oct 28, 2026, available since 2026
About this app
Quoted from the App Store listing, written for the app's users.
Seaworthy is a maintenance logbook for your boat on iPhone and iPad. Photograph a part on board and the app recognizes it on your device, reads labels and expiry dates and creates the entry. Set the service interval once and Seaworthy reminds you before the work is due.
PHOTO IN, ENTRY OUT
Point the camera at a part or pick a photo from your library. Apple Vision text recognition reads labels, serial and model numbers and expiry dates. An image model on your device sorts the part into a category: engine, rigging, safety, hull, electrical, plumbing, navigation, interior, tender or other. If a part is not recognized, you enter it by hand.
REMINDERS BEFORE SOMETHING FAILS
Plan each task by date, by engine hours (for example 100 h or 12 months, whichever comes first), at season start or as a one-off. Choose the lead days, for example 60, 30 and 7 days for safety equipment, and the time of day. Mark a task done or snooze it for one week right from the notification.
YOUR BOAT AND EVERY PART
Store type, manufacturer, model, year, home marina, HIN, length, draft and engine hours. A starter maintenance plan for your boat type gets you going. Every item keeps photos, documents such as manuals and receipts, serial and model number, expiry date, notes and its full service history.
A LOGBOOK YOU CAN SEARCH
Every completed service is logged with date, engine hours and cost. Search the full text, including text read from photos.
CHECKLISTS, SPARE PARTS, RECEIPTS
• Checklists for leaving, arriving, safety check, laying up and commissioning, with a history of every run.
• Spare parts inventory with stock, minimum stock and where each part is stowed. Parts used on a job are booked out and the shopping list fills itself.
