Your repository, your rights
The code sits in your repository from day one; with each paid milestone, the rights to everything delivered up to that point pass to you.
Accounts in your name
Store, server, domain and payment accounts are registered to your company. I work with access you grant and can revoke at any time.
Prepared in case I drop out
There is no named stand-in. Instead, every takeover and every build comes with an emergency handbook and an exit plan. In operation both are kept current, and a handover is rehearsed once a year, so another experienced developer can take over from the documented state.
Fixed prices and insurance
Every step has a fixed price in writing; extra scope only through a change order you sign. General liability and cyber insurance with Hiscox (details in the imprint).
Straight answers
What does it cost to keep the app running?
App Care is $1,400 a month: OS and SDK updates, security patches, new major iOS and Android versions, store deadlines, monitoring and restore-tested backups. Full Service at $2,900 a month adds releases and bug-fixing. Your Technical Lead at $7,200 a month adds the technical decisions and up to four supplier questionnaires a year. Minimum term three months, six for Your Technical Lead. Hosting is billed at cost.
Can you also build a new app?
Yes. A first version (MVP) starts at $27,800 and is ready for store submission in 2 to 4 weeks; a market-ready app for iPhone and Android starts at $83,300. After scoping, your offer fixes the price of each milestone in writing. What drives the cost is on the app development cost page.
We have our own engineering team. Does working with you still make sense?
Yes, for a clearly defined job: an Architecture Review, an App Check of one app, taking over a single app, or a customer's vendor review. I work through the repository and the issue tracker you already use, with written decisions and small, reviewable changes. Your team keeps the final say over its own code base.
