- CivoCloudManager 2.1 — Kubernetes log-tailing now streams, no more “refresh to see new lines”. Firewall editor learned bulk operations.
- SnapShots 1.2.4 — daily challenge engine got a server-side rewrite; client app went from 12 MB to 8 MB.
- DokuAI 2.5.1 — transcription quality bump on German construction-site jargon. Whisper’s vocabulary still doesn’t know “Trockenbau”, a small post-processing pass fixes the common cases.
Open source
- askapro-cli — added a “second-opinion” role that runs the same query against a different model and shows the diff. Pleasantly useful for legal documents.
- xcode-cli — TestFlight upload command now waits for processing and reports the export-compliance state. Saves the “did it actually upload?” anxiety.
Reading
- The new Quarkus 3.18 release notes are worth a read — the dev-mode improvements alone justify the upgrade.
- An older but still-relevant talk by Mary Rose Cook on “what software engineering is actually about” came up in a thread; it ages well.
